Our first stop was "Hells Canyon Recreation Area." While it was beautiful- we were definitely expecting something a bit more ominous considering the name...
We did see a couple beautiful waterfalls during our drive-thru tour!
It was the perfect start to a very "green" trip :)
Next up was Mt. Rainier National Park. When we arrived we saw some amazing trees, ferns, lots of green, but no mountain! We finally found the visitor center
Where we learned where to go for a view of the mountain.
Majestic and awe inspiring
We had soooo much fun on our trip- and have way too many pictures to put on. We also saw Olympic National Park, the Oregon Coast, and so much more. We had a great time- just started driving, bought a map, and went from there. One of our favorites was 2nd Beach in Washington. The place was magical. Sam made a new friend...
We enjoyed wading in the water (it was very cold, no swimming for us :)
And enjoyed appreciating the beauty and mystery around us.
We sure hope you have all had as great a summer as we have had so far!

WHAT???? You guys are so fired!! Seattle is totally on the way to Olympic National Park! There better be a really good explanation as to why you didn't call us...I'm waiting ;P
Way awesome pictures! I love that you guys go on trips! That's so fun.
What a fun trip! I've been begging the hubby to take us down the west coast--he's not given in to my pleading thus far. I'll have to get pointers from you when we finally do go. Love all the photos!
